Taking Newsroom SEO Priorities Through to Product and Tech Roadmaps

Over the years SEO has grown to encompass a wide array of fields including Technical, Editorial, Data Science & Analytics, Marketing, Sales, eCommerce, SaaS Tools. It is now expanding into AI & ML which will open other pathways for future careers and continual growth for this relatively new area of business.
During this session, I will focus on just one of these fields: SEO as Product Manager. We will look at the critical components it takes to create a publisher’s search success story from how to engage a strategic mindset to drive newsroom priorities to speaking the different languages involved.
We will address using the Agile framework with Jira as a tool to collaborate with various Product teams and how to deploy the code that can make ideas and asks become reality. We will discuss how to help newsrooms engage with SEO tools and reporting to enhance decision making.
I will take you through the lessons learned from a series of wins, and mistakes, as we aim to better understand how to utilize SEO for newsrooms.
